1 Moderator application form on Mon 29 Nov 2010 - 2:50

So to begin, we're going to need some new moderators that are willing to be active and enforce the rules at will. Only apply if you want to be a moderator, you're active, respected member of the community and are mature enough to not go breaking the rules yourself, mkay?

So if you meet that criteria, then please just write a little paragraph going through the above sections and why you feel you are suited to the role

GO

Not sure if you consider me eligible or not, but here it goes...

I joined here 8 months ago on the 20th of March. When I entered, the first thing I noticed was activity, and lots of it. The next thing I noticed was the organization of the staff and forum. The third thing; the behavior of the members. They were kept well in line by the moderators and admins, because the rules were more strictly enforced.

I think this rude behavior is driving away our members. I have seen several occasions where members have said that they were going to leave if they were not treated more fairly. It is also causing counter-flaming by other members. (Including me. My apologies.) I think it definitely needs to be acted on in one way or another.

I am active, posting several times a day, and make a post before I leave for a while or go on vacation. I have read all the new rules, and will try to enforce them to the best of my ability.

(@Onion and L'archl:for the record, mods cannot ban, so I'm not trying to get into a position to be able to ban you, just try to "keep you in line")

Thank you for your interest

For other people interested in applying, this is the sort of thing I am looking for.

Well i joined i think 3 months ago and when i cam i think i was around 603 member very acitive which i likes but even better was that it wasn't overly active like DD where your threads and posts arnt recognise or even appresiated.when i came here i did a bit of pivot but now i have gone off it and now doing photoshop.i am on very regulary.i might have broken a couple of rules in the time here, most of them when i first started.I try and help people out such as a few tutorials, free signature and being nice altogether. From what i ahev herd this forum was well mannered once.when i came i think it was just starting to turn and become unruley.I have had expierence before being a mod on another forum (closed down now) admin on another two sites.

I prefer people getting along and not pissing each other off.lol i also want to keep onion and l'archl in line :D.

(i have terrible spelling)

I'm judging your application. Part of the specification is that you must be active in order to apply. If you feel you're not active, then don't apply. I don't know your visiting habits, and it's not like I'm going to say yes or no to everyone based of them asking me if they're active enough. I'm not having a go, I'm just saying.

Welcome Brigade
Welcome Brigade
ok here is my application:

i joined on August 20,2010.i have never broken a single rule in the 3 months i have been registered.i get on the forum everyday on week days between 4:25 and 7:00 PM and then again from 8:30 to 10:00 PM .then again from 6:30 to 7:00 AM,then back to 4:25.
and that's when i have little homework and no projects.on weekends i'm on for about the whole day if i have no church or i'm not having fun.to make that long paragraph short i'm super active.i also post very often.

i have never flamed anyone on the forum and never will.i have a big heart i'm very honest and have a lot of humor.i am a very good problem solver and i am good at pointing out mistakes, even the little ones.whenever there is a problem i carefully listen to both sides of the story then decide which is better.
i also don't swear and don't intend to.

i always try to befriend every new member i meet even the old comebacks.i never swear and i never truly hate anyone even if they are rude and disrespectful i don't act rude and disrespectful back towards them i just try to keep them under control as best as i can.

i'm very good a knowing when and how to edit a post and i always inform about my edit.i know the right place that some threads go and i move them to the right place (under agreement,i never go straight for doing something).i have lots of experience in being a moderator and even an admin and i was doing fairly good jobs at the roles.

that is all i have to say about why i believe i should get the role.i respect if i do not get the role or not for i am very mature.(especially for my age of 12)

Thank you

@Oasis I guess I shouldn't apply then. Onion and a few others seem to think I am not very active in comparison to the rest of the community, and I myself cannot say I post very often. Speaking of which, where do Onion and L'archl's posts keep going in this thread? Is somebody deleting them?

Yes, but I do think you meet the other criteria. You haven't broken any rules in your entire time here. Regardless of how much you post, that's more than some can say.

You have a point. Ah what the hell, I'll give it a go.

As RDH has already said, I have not broken a rule my entire time being registered here (:3) despite my less-than-obsessive posting habits. Nobody hates me on this forum afaik, and I've been around the internet long enough to know the general dos and don'ts. I am polite but stern when duty calls, my grammar is nice, and I'm willing and able to help out newbies in a lot of cases. I have adminship on at least 2 other forums that I don't own, and support-moddership on 1 other. Admittedly I have trouble telling people "no" sometimes and this could severely affect my performance as a moderator, but meh we all have a weakness am I right? I also think I come off as an elitist on occasion but it's not on purpose. D:
Anyways, there's my application let's hope for the best etc.
btw, congrats Rock. :{D
edit: I also kind of swear a lot. lol.

I'm just waiting for you all to apply, unless you would like me to say "Thank you for applying, I will review this later" to everyone that applies?

All in good time my lil' postaholic ;)

I doubt I will make it but....
I joined early in September and have got to know quite a bit of people since then.
I do have moderator experiences from Beast's forum, and an ex-mod from P_A.
Of course, I will not abuse my privilage, for I know it's the position to help keep things organized and in order.
I understand the rules almost by heart, but if I need a reminder, I'll look there.
I am a helpful person, so if anyone needs help, I will be there when I can.
I will not ban (well I can't anyways) L'archl and Onion, but just like almost everyone has said, "keep them in order".
